Position Summary for Direct Support Worker:

We are looking for an energetic employee to provide residential supports to individuals with a developmental disability living within a community. The employee will be expected to work a rotation of shifts that include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Accountability for Direct Support Worker:

The employee is accountable to the individuals supported as well as the House Manager.

Responsibilities for Direct Support Worker:

The positions have responsibilities and duties relating to eight (8) major areas:

  • Financial Management
  • Safety

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-year experience in a support worker role preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and use of a vehicle
